Terms of service
Last updated 14 October 2026
These are interim terms. They set out, in plain English, the terms we already publish on our pricing page and how we work, while our full terms are prepared and reviewed by a lawyer. When the full terms are ready they will replace this page.
These terms are an agreement between you and Vertrus LLC, which runs Sulucent (“we”, “us”). They apply when you use sulucent.com and when we build, host and look after a website for you.
Using sulucent.com
The free assessment, the Site Minion demo and everything else on sulucent.com are provided to help you understand your website. Scores and suggestions are a guide, not a guarantee. Please don’t misuse the site: no attempts to break its security, overload it or collect other people’s information through it, and no submitting someone else’s details without their permission.
What we provide
We migrate your existing website or build a new one, host it, and keep it running and up to date on the plan you choose. What each plan includes is set out in full on our pricing page. If we’ve agreed different terms with you in writing, such as a free pilot, that written agreement applies where it differs from these terms.
Paying, and the 12-month commitment
- Billing starts at launch. Nothing is charged until your site is live and you’ve approved it.
- Essentials and Growth run on a 12-month commitment, with nothing to pay upfront to migrate. Bespoke starts from $2,500 upfront, then moves to a monthly plan after launch.
- After 12 months your plan continues month-to-month at the same price, and renews automatically each month until you cancel. It does not roll into another fixed term.
- Leaving early. The 12-month commitment runs its term, so the remaining months are payable. From month 13 you can cancel at any time by emailing hello@sulucent.com.
- Changing plans. You can move between Essentials and Growth in either direction at any time. Moving up, we prorate the difference. Moving down, the Growth-only pages (assessment, campaign, landing, quiz, audience and confirmation pages) are unpublished.
- Prices. Your price is fixed for your first 12 months. After that, we give 60 days’ notice of any change, and you can leave rather than accept it.
If something goes wrong
Because nothing is charged until you’ve approved your site, you never pay for a site you haven’t signed off. If you think you’ve been charged wrongly, or the service hasn’t been delivered as described, email hello@sulucent.com and we’ll put it right.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law that can’t be excluded. That includes the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, and equivalent rights in the UK and the EU. Where those rights entitle you to a repair, a replacement or a refund, you get it.
Your content and your site
Your content stays yours: your text, images, logo and the information you give us. You give us permission to copy, store, adapt and publish it as needed to build and run your site. When you ask us to migrate an existing website, you confirm you have the right to let us use its content.
Your site is yours to take with you. Essentials hands back a complete static site, and Growth the full code repository. You can take it once your 12-month term is complete, or straight away if you settle the remainder. How export works.
Using migrations to improve Sulucent
When we migrate a site, we keep a record of what we read from the old site, what we built from it and the corrections made along the way. We use these records to improve how Sulucent migrates and builds sites, including the AI-assisted parts. We don’t publish them or sell them.
This is on by default. You can opt out at any time by emailing hello@sulucent.com. When you do, we stop adding your site’s records and remove the details that identify you or your business from the records we already hold.
AI-drafted content
Our AI tools draft pages, posts and changes for you. You review and approve them before they go live, and you’re responsible for what you choose to publish on your site, as you would be with any other writer.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use your Sulucent site, or our email tools, for anything unlawful, deceptive or harmful. That means no content that infringes someone else’s rights, no malware and no unsolicited bulk email. Only email people who have agreed to hear from you, and follow the email laws that apply to you. If a site or campaign breaks these rules, we may take it down or pause it, and we’ll tell you why.
Your visitors’ information
Your website’s forms collect information from your visitors. You decide what is collected and what it is used for, and you’re responsible for telling your visitors, in your own privacy notice. We store and handle that information only on your behalf and only to run your site, as our privacy notice describes. A formal data processing agreement will form part of the full terms.
Keeping your site running
We work to keep your site fast, secure and online. We can’t promise it will never be unavailable, and we don’t offer a formal uptime guarantee.
Our responsibility to you
As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost business, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that the law doesn’t allow to be limited.
Ending the service
You can leave as described under “Paying, and the 12-month commitment”. We can end the service if you seriously break these terms. Otherwise, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice and help you take your site with you.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we’ll email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Changes never shorten a commitment you’ve already made or raise a price that is fixed.
